陕西省农业遥感信息中心成立于1990年元月，是陕西省发展与改革委员会和陕西省气象局双重领导下的全额拨款处级事业单位，中心主持的“陕北黄土高原干旱、半干旱地区生态环境遥感本底调查研究”获陕西省科学技术奖贰等奖。中心完成的“陕西省干旱遥感动态监测技术推广应用”获2003-2004年度陕西省农业技术推广成果奖二等奖。
新疆遥感中心是自治区人民政府1997年8月批准，1999年4月正式成立，直属于自治区科技厅的遥感工作专门机构。主要职责是组织和协调新疆遥感科技力量，开展遥感科研和应用项目的研究，促进遥感技术在新疆的应用和发展；组织与开展遥感技术的国际合作与交流；组织与开展遥感技术人员的国内外教育和培训；组织和协调遥感数据、资料、技术的共享与服务。
