近日，复旦大学生命科学学院、遗传与发育协同创新中心与英国帝国理工学院MRC-NIHR国家表型组中心达成意向，组成合作研究战略联盟，致力于遗传与环境因素相互作用及其与人体健康的关系等研究。此工作瞄准人群对药物响应的异质性、基础研究到健康保障的转化等问题，对个性化健康及精准医疗均有特别重要的意义。
发育与遗传是生命活动的核心过程。作为生命科学中与其他学科交叉和协同最广泛、推动创新最有力的基础学科之一，发育遗传学在理论及方法上的前沿突破不但可以引领生命科学其他领域的发展，还能促进人口健康、现代农业、生态环保等方面的进步，在国民经济、人类健康和社会可持续发展中占有重要地位。
