本文以尤金·奈达的“功能对等”理论和德国的功能派“目的论”为理论依据，对日语拟声拟态词汉语译文的表达特征进行了分析探讨。笔者特别从“意译”的角度归纳出4种翻译策略和方法，分别是：解释说明性的“释译”、借助汉语成语或四字熟语的“借译”、忽略不计的“零译”、借助汉语拼音标注日语象声词的“拼译”。这些汉译形式将为日语学习者及翻译教学提供参考。
