近日,中国科学院昆明动物研究所研究员姚永刚、博士生毕蕊与中南大学湘雅二医院陈晓岗团队合作,对11个展现出母系遗传特征的精神分裂症家系进行了研究,通过测定各家系中先证者的mtDNA全基因组序列发现,mtDNA稀有致病变异可能是精神分裂症发病的一种病因,但其低频异质性很可能与精神分裂症不相关。相关结果近期分别发表于《精神分裂症的研究》 和《分子神经生物学》期刊。
