数学家，主要从事李群的无穷维表示和自守型理论的研究。1959年11月出生于浙江省杭州市。1981年毕业于浙江大学数学系，1983年获美国康奈尔大学硕士学位，1987年获耶鲁大学博士学位。2013年当选中国科学院院士。
