Impact of seawater pCO2 on calcification and Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca ratios in benthic foraminifera calcite: results from culturing experiments with Ammonia tepida
seawater pCO2 calcification and Mg/Ca and Sr/Ca ratios benthic foraminifera calcite culturing experiments Ammonia tepida
2010/1/21
Evidence of increasing concentrations of dissolved carbon dioxide, especially in the surface ocean and its associated impacts on calcifying organisms, is accumulating. Among these organisms, benthic a...

Using a spectrofluorimeter with 224-nm laser excitation and six emission bands from 300 to 420 nm to measure fluorescence intensities at 0.3-mm depth intervals in ice cores, we report results of the f...
Investigation and monitoring in support of the structural mitigation of large slow moving landslides:an example from Ca' Lita (Northern Apennines,Reggio Emilia,Italy)
Investigation monitoring structural mitigation large slow moving landslides
2009/12/29
The Ca' Lita landslide is a large and deep-seated mass movement located in the Secchia River Valley, in the sector of the Northern Apennines falling into Reggio Emilia Province, about 70 km west of Bo...
In vitro formation of Ca-oxalates and the mineral glushinskite by fungal interaction with carbonate substrates and seawater
vitro formation Ca-oxalates mineral glushinskite fungal interaction carbonate substrates
2010/1/12
This study investigates the in vitro formation of Ca-oxalates and glushinskite through fungal interaction with carbonate substrates and seawater as a process of biologically induced metal recycling an...
